The Story.
The Sound
Sergio Alexo is a disco house DJ based in Winnipeg, Canada, and originally from Ukraine. His sets run on warm, feel-good grooves — disco-leaning house at the core, with pop hooks and harder dance moments folded in when the room asks for them.
Self-Taught
No school taught him this. He built the sound from scratch and sharpened it in front of real crowds, which is where he picked up the part that matters most: reading a room and steering it.
The Residency
His residency at SHO Coffee Bar began with a yes from owner Greg, the first person to hand him a booth. He has been a fixture there, and across the wider Winnipeg scene, ever since.
The Club Debut
The club chapter opened at Dreams, through DJ and event organizer Timur of Lost Dancing. From there the calendar widened into private parties, weddings, and cultural celebrations.
Now
These days he plays several nights a week and keeps stretching the sound, threading hip-hop and R&B through sets that stay anchored in house.
The Mission
The goal has not changed: bring the energy, keep the floor moving, and leave people with a night they still bring up months later.
